Here we go with the list. These hidden beaches in Santorini feel special because they take effort—hiking, boats, bad roads—which keeps the crowds down (mostly).
1. Koloumbos (Cape Columbo) Beach – The Windy Northern Secret
Koloumbos is one of those proper hidden beaches in Santorini—long black pebble stretch way up north past Oia, super isolated, windy AF sometimes, and yeah, the far end is clothing-optional if you’re brave (or just European, lol). No umbrellas, no tavernas, just raw volcanic coast. I’d probably show up with zero shade and regret it instantly like I do every time I forget sunscreen at Barton Springs here. Bring everything—water, snacks, maybe a hat that won’t fly away. It’s peaceful though, waves crashing, nobody around.

2. Vlychada Beach – The Weird Moon-Landscape One
Vlychada feels like another planet with those eroded pumice cliffs looking all lunar and dramatic. Gray-black pebbles, calm-ish water for once (wind protected), and way quieter than Perissa nearby. I love the idea of just floating there staring at the rock layers—kinda hypnotic. My dumb mistake if I went: I’d step on sharp pebbles barefoot and hop around like an idiot. Still one of the best hidden beaches in Santorini for that unique vibe.

3. Mesa Pigadia Beach – Low-Key Black Pebble Cove
Down near Akrotiri, Mesa Pigadia is this tucked-away black pebble spot with steep volcanic cliffs and super clear water. Less famous than Red Beach right next door, so you actually get space to breathe. The road down is rough—rent an ATV or something sturdy. I’d be that guy who parks weird and blocks someone, classic me. Perfect for a chill swim without the chaos.

4. White Beach (Aspri Paralia) – The Boat-Only Hidden Gem
White Beach is straight-up one of the most secluded hidden beaches in Santorini—only boat access from Red Beach or Akrotiri, white pumice cliffs mixing with black sand, insane turquoise water. No road, no easy way in, which keeps it quiet. I’d forget the boat schedule and end up stuck, 100%. But man, the boat ride there sounds magical.

5. Armenaki Beach – Steep Trail to Pebbly Bliss
Near Oia, Armenaki is this tiny pebbly cove down a steep path (or boat)—crystal-clear water, big cliffs looming, total escape from the sunset crowds up top. The hike down would kill my knees but the payoff… worth it. I’d complain the whole way then shut up once I hit the water. Super peaceful hidden beach in Santorini.
