Alright, extreme sports destinations… yeah they’ve been haunting my feed lately. I’m parked on my couch in Denver right now, it’s like 40 degrees outside which is basically summer here, wearing the same hoodie I’ve had since 2019, scrolling pics of people way more ballsy than me yeeting themselves off bridges or whatever. My heart rate spikes just watching, no cap. I mean I did do that one tandem skydive a couple years back over this spot in Cali—felt like my soul left my body for a solid 60 seconds—and I legit almost barfed on the instructor. True story, super embarrassing, he was cool about it tho. Anyway, point is these extreme sports destinations? They’re calling me even if my wallet and my fear are yelling “nope.”

Queenstown is like the undisputed champ. They straight-up started commercial bungee there at Kawarau Bridge—jumping off that thing with the river way down below? Insane.
I got a buddy who did it last year, said the second your feet leave the platform everything slows down except your screaming. Skydiving over the Remarkables mountains there looks next-level too. Jet boats, paragliding, all of it. I’ve bookmarked flights like five times but chicken out because 14-hour plane ride + potential death? Idk man. More on the OG bungee here.

Switzerland’s all clean and perfect, but Interlaken turns it up with paragliding off mountains right over those turquoise lakes. You tandem launch and just… soar.

Costa Rica’s got rainforests full of zip lines that go on forever, plus surfing if you want ocean thrills too. Flying through trees with howler monkeys yelling at you? Wild.
I wiped out so hard learning to surf in Hawaii once—board hit me in the face, swallowed like a gallon of saltwater, looked like absolute trash coming out the water. Costa Rica seems more chill for beginners tho. Good spots here.
Hawaii – Big Waves That Scare the Hell Outta Me
North Shore Oahu in winter? Those waves are monsters. Pros only for the really big stuff, but even watching is extreme.
